London New Year’s Day Parade
The London New Year’s Day Parade was the whole reason for this trip. The Deer Creek High School Band had been invited to march and share their talents across the pond and this was the event we were here to see.
It was a brisk afternoon but we were lucky to get some prime viewing spots and enjoyed a a great experience. With more than 8,000 performers from across the globe, it’s a sight to see. What makes the parade special isn’t just the spectacle – it’s the heart behind it. The event supports charitable causes across the UK, giving the celebration a deeper purpose that feels perfectly aligned with the season of fresh starts and giving back.
All the performers were fantastic, there were some amazing bands, talented dancers, beautiful horses and a lot of folks having a whole lot of fun. It was beautiful seeing so many cultures on display and experiencing the hopeful energy this event brought forth.
I did pull out the R5 for this but got a few good shots with the Ricoh as well.
