Leake St. Graffiti Tunnel

One of my missions in London was to track down a Banksy. I’ve followed his work for more than 20 years so this mission was high on my list. (Especially since we’ve been friends on Facebook for the better part of the past decade. lol) Banksy’s work is placed strategically all over the London but with most of our few days booked up, that didn’t allow for much exploring in the areas far from Trafalgar Square.

Luckily, just across the Thames underneath the Waterloo Station lies the Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel. Founded in 2008 by Banksy himself during the infamous Cans Festival, the Graffiti Tunnel has ever since been an ever changing art gallery of talent, collecting artists and visitors from across the globe. At any time you can walk through and catch a live exhibition, perhaps being the first to see the latest work of art. I wonder how different it will look on my next visit.
